About Me

Darlene Holloway, LMT, CT, SIT, is a Naturopath certified through the American Medical Certification Board. Darlene has devoted over 34 years to teaching and serving others by integrating a variety of non-traditional preventative, restorative, and health maintenance therapies.

She is a graduate of the Florida Institute of Natural Health and the Florida School of Massage, where she received training in numerous alternative therapies culminating in her certification as a Natural Health Care Practitioner in 1981. She continues to build on her knowledge, and today holds the highest level of certification as an instructor with the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy.

Darlene is trained in structural integration, one of the of the most advanced forms of muscle therapy. She holds a license in Massage Therapy with North Carolina and maintains a Florida license in Colon Hydrotherapy and Massage Therapy.

In 1987, she opened the Bodywork Therapies Clinic in Gainesville, Florida, a branch of the Florida School of Massage, where she trained students in colon hydrotherapy for licensing by the state of Florida. During this time, she played an integral role in designing the curriculum and testing used by the state.

Darlene relocated to North Carolina in 1992, where she opened the Alternative Health Center of Cary, providing a wide range of health care services, including colon hydrotherapy, reflexology, structural integration, ionic detoxification, ear candling, herbal wraps, various massage modalities, as well as colon hydrotherapy training.

In 2008, Darlene became the president of the North Carolina Colon Hydrotherapy Safety Association (NCCHSA), as association committed to upholding the educational standards for the practice of colon hydrotherapy in North Carolina.

In 2009, Darlene was awarded Colon Hydrotherapist of the Year by the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy.
In 2010, Darlene became Board Certified by the ANMA, as a Naturopath.
In 2013, Darlene was elected I-ACT Board Member At Large.
In 2015, Darlene was awarded for Outstanding Dedication and Service by the I-ACT.
In 2017, Darlene was awarded the President’s Award by the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy.
